She feared she would be forgotten
Lost to the world and be only a dream,
She wants people to remember her
For more than just her death scene
Her life was filled with horrors
Though not many would know,
Because like so many around her
She was too scared to show
As a child she was taught
To have a heart of stone,
So she grew up with no friends
And wondered why she was always so alone
She continued to grow
Her parents were always away,
So she was left at home alone
No one to make sure she was okay
Until one day someone noticed her
A boy in plain black and white,
He helped her pick up the pieces
Of her messed up life
But then came that fateful day
When the boy of her dreams would part,
Her life became a mess once more
And shattered across the pavement was her heart
Her life became a muddle of confusion
Her mind was filled to the brim with clutter,
She needed someone, anyone
To understand the words she uttered
But all those that tried to help her
Only made matters worse,
They helped pull that blade
And lay her in that hearse
So on her 16th birthday
Her deepest wish came true,
Her life was over
And there was nothing anyone could do
She had taken her life into her own hands
Leaving bloody cuts along her wrists,
No one cried for her that day
All those weary hypocrites
A note lay next to her
In a pool of her own blood,
‘Remember me for who I was
And not who I’ve become’
This was her last wish
Of which no one did abide,
No one really did respect her
It is no wonder she died
So now she has left this world
Only remembered for her death scene,
Except for that boy in plain black and white
She is in his dreams.
