She's A Rose Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

She's A Rose

My treasure is a beautiful rose.
I am her thorns, protecting how she grows.
She’s the sweetest thing growing from love’s vine.
I am so proud that this flower is mine!

Just the other day holding hands on the beach,
Heard someone else saying “look aren’t they sweet! ”
Being with my darling is the thing I love best.
Since she became my girl I’ve forgotten all the rest.

My rose is a bright and precious jewel,
Moonlight and sunshine lighting my whole world!
You can keep your trinkets, But I shall keep my pearl.
My beautiful rose, my precious girl!

This beautiful flower pricks my heart each day.
The petals of her love never let me stray.
The vine where she flourishes is inside of my heart,
The aroma of her sweetness will never depart!

My treasure is a beautiful rose.
I am her thorns, protecting how she grows.
She’s the sweetest thing growing from love’s vine.
I am so proud that this flower is mine.
