She Sleeps Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

She Sleeps

Velum of sordid romance
Permeable bridge of the tired
Storm whimpers into a middle class fog
Love of money drains her soul

I wait for Monroe
She is too tired to answer her dreams
Living for the commercial prison
What will become of us?

The tired old lady sleeps
