neend se bhari hue,
dheeray dheeray
dabbi awaaz main,
apne ashiq ko
vo keh rehi hai:
main pyaar tumain
karti hoon.

Sardi ka mausam hai
aur bhoo-mandal
chal raha hai
soya hua neend main,
bahar baraf pad rahi hai
baraf paD rahi hai
sardi k mausam main.

In the dark hours,

As Earth turns in her winter sleep
And puts out grass and flowers
