She Was Looking For A Man Poem by Randy McClave

She Was Looking For A Man

She proclaimed to all that she was looking for a man
So, I asked her where would that line begin,
To win her over, I will do the best that I can
Even if it means me fighting, everyone of those men.
When I was younger I was taught to use my fist
And to take whatever that I needed to take,
Pride, pleasure, and showing off was always first on my list
Which always led to pain, and then heartache.
Shamelessly I have had many broken and past loves
Which had led to shattered rules, which now I abhor,
I have fought many fights, and I have won many Golden Gloves
Now I just want to be that man, that she is looking for.
