She Was Once My True Love

She was once my true love
Overwhelming the heart
Making days long and sweet.
Years have passed without her
And still my heart yearns
For the girl who was my true love.
She married a childhood friend
Had his children
Smiles whenever I see her.
I dwell in memories of her
Each memory precious
Girl enthroned in my heart.
