Shifting Poem by Ivana RadanJamnicki

Shifting

Dancing
Was a long-dreamt dream to me
That came true
And I didn’t allow myself to see
That it did came through
While I wasn’t looking
Having crossed
The fine line between dreams and obsessions
I’ve been to both sides
Tasted their exotic flavour
As to introduce some sweetness
To my lack of sensuality
At least I thought so
But as dancing well or badly
Is not what defines me
Or gives more comfort and joy
It is time to move on
Embracing the gift that I‘ve received
Carrying it carefully
With a whole scale from gratefulness to gratitude
Ready to, maybe, give it away
