Shoot The Lying Moon Poem by Patti Masterman

Shoot The Lying Moon

Shoot the lying moon
And throw the wilted flowers
Out the door,

Melt down all the heart
Shaped chocolates;
Admit lying love, no more.

Give the cards back
To the lovers, who claimed
Yours, the only one-

Living will be much the easier,
When the pain
And glory's done.
