Short Lived Grandeur Poem by Rob Knetsch

Short Lived Grandeur

this as a bright shining star
its light lits the entire universe
brings life to all that matters
feeds all that has the need

created from this, the inner pain
the pain buried deep inside the core
radiating out, toward the outer shell
crying for release, a way out for this

crying so loud, shining that very bright
painfull scream, all that much energy
burning all from inside, gift to the universe
until empty, no light, no pain anymore

now empty, changed into a red giant
transforming slowly into a white dwarf
collapsing into itself like a black hole
black against this dark cold universe
