Cauliflower Brainstem Poem by Rob Knetsch

Cauliflower Brainstem

Rating: 5.0

woke up just a moment ago
i don't know where i am now
and i cannot remember
i sense a wall of steel around me
and guess that there is no light
i notice that the chill is gone

i feel as if i am in an ocean
surrounded by lukewarm water
but the waves are getting stronger
bubbles are forming, more
and more, the sea gets wild
and it is getting warmer

Exactly like this, mostly at noon, like waking up from a nightmare, such irrealistic occurrence. Correctly worded.

When reality hits it is unreal.
