Shorter Days Poem by Daniel Bernard Kelleher

Shorter Days

It seems as you get older
Days seem to get shorter
Your life is speeding on
Is this an phenomenon

You tried to make sense of it
But no matter how hard you try
Common denominater is old age
You have to ask yourself, Why

You've worked up to retiring age
Had not enough time on your hands
You think now that you've retired
The opposite would be the case
