Shot You Down Poem by Rachel Brewer

I saw you leave your body,
The moment they shot you down.

I saw you float to heaven,
And I knew you would be safe.

I felt your spirit leave me,
And knew you were on your way.

On your way up to heaven,
To be with the angels.

They would take care of you,
I knew that for sure.

The moment I felt you leave,
I almost died inside.

But I know it’ll be alright,
Because you are in a good place.

A good place,
Where you can watch over me.
