Shovelling Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Shovelling

Shovelling

To me best amusement
Is to face facts, research
By going door to door
Talking to poor and lords
Of varied genders and
Every range of the age.

Though can say, easily
How life is and living
In two or few words
But also have details
That can, do enable
Me, to talk, explain
For days, nights
Even years:
"A woman was short of
Or a man needed love
Or a child wished to be
Or the X wants the Y…"

In times I get involved
With nice words or warm hug
Or extend an invite…

Yesterday took shovel
And helped the unable
To clean her snow…

And she watched, surprised
Since this is not normal
In city of large size
And filled with…

I am baby boomer
Born and raised different;
So, see me only as
A piece of large puzzle
Of people around us
No worse and no better
Exact same as neighbours
With power and weakness…

you have a soul of a saint, Nassy, I'm so lazy but I wish I had the strength to be not lazy
