Showers Poem by Thomas Plotz

Showers

I'll take my showers hot
Till the water run cold,
Then I'll stand there still…
Sometimes till I'm almost numb with chill

Letting the shower sounds, drown away my care…
Sometime letting my elbows lean on a shelf at
Chest level, so the water rushes over my head and back,

They say,
My heart too old to have my showers hot,
My soul too old, to care

Maybe someday that might change?
I don't think so

So I'll take my showers hot
Till the water run cold,
Then I'll stand there still…

Because, I like both ways, like that
