Showflakes Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Showflakes

Snowflakes

The snowflakes came down
In a deafening silent fury.
The blanketed the ground
And fell silent on it.

Their meaning lay in their hurry.
They were trying to reach God's Heaven
In a way
Never before seen or heard.

These snowflakes wanted to silence
The world
The world in it's eternal flames
Burning in a noisy hurry.

For the future of man
Was burning away in a madness no one could imagine.
The snowflakes came down
In a deafening silent fury.

It doused out man's crashing flames.
