Shreds Poem by Jessi Hardison

Shreds

You've torn me apart
Not simply in two
But thousands of peices
To begin again; Restart

From these ashes I rise
The ashes of the fallen
Of who I once was
To summarize

I'm a work of art torn shred to shred
I'm lifted through the air
Floating about
Hovering over your head

I am guilt
Guilt itself
I'm full of misery and longing
For what's now broken, what has wilt
