Sign Of Times Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Sign Of Times

The air feels heavy,
a weight we cannot name.
Voices rise, then fade,
like echoes lost in hollow spaces.

Steps quicken on the pavement,
chasing something unseen.
Eyes meet, then turn away,
fear hidden behind fleeting glances.

The earth shifts beneath us,
not with quakes, but with quiet.
A silent fracture,
growing wider with each passing day.

We hold on to what was,
even as it slips through our fingers.
This is the sign of times -
not a storm,
but the stillness before it.
