Signaptic Evolution Poem by Marieta Maglas

The star of your love became
a firefly in my hand. It was
shining in that night, in which
you started to exist for
me and to make my life become
a little earthly paradise. I
realized that your star was, in
fact, a Lampyris noctiluca falling
down from a tree branch on my
palm like ''us'' from the catadromous
elver, or like the ''I'' from the
unconscious. You became the
bioluminescence in my crepuscle.
