A Princess Of Romanian Folk Died Poem by Marieta Maglas

A Princess Of Romanian Folk Died

Rating: 4.8

Romania is in mourning.
A princess of Romanian folk died
A few hours ago.
There will be many trees on this land
Without the forest
And other cords of the guitars,
And some kind of vibration, maybe more pleasant,
But there will never be another Tatiana
Impeccable Stepa, ineluctable Stepa, irresistible Stepa.
Because she could let her love
Trickle into our souls,
Until all her songs on the altar of praise were laid,
Until today, when our eyes are glittered
From the reflection of our tears...
Her extraordinary talent melted our hearts...

And step by step,
Ab initio Stepa, ab ovo Stepa

She sang all her songs to us,
But she was the most beautiful sound
We have ever heard.
And she could make us squeal with delight.
The more beautiful we became just after hearing her songs.
And if we learned to exist as part of Earth
When only love could keep us together,
It was because
She lived to teach us how to live.

Pro tempore and in esse
Tatiana Stepa died.

You have good imagination but the poems are too serious for me. Maybe thats the way in Romania. It does have a sad reputation to us Westerners. I love laughing and challenge you to write a funny poem to make me happy. Lots of luck from your Froggie friend Alan

I applaud you for writing and posting this poem! It is simply one of the sincerest and most infectious elegies I have read. Twenty minutes ago I did not know of this person of talent, beauty and devotion named Tatiana Stepa. But through your words I can inch forward to an appreciation of what she has given to you and your fellow Romanians. I am especially moved by your beautiful closing words whose inspiration crosses borders with their beauty and truth: The more beautiful we become after hearing her sing (WOW!) .and if we learned to exist as part of the Earth, when only love could keep us together, it was because she lived to teach us how to live. That is so beautiful, I'm moved to tears. You called one of your poems an ARS POETICA. This too is an Ars Poetica, and it captures fully what makes us love poetry and strive to write it. And dear Tatiana, rest in peace, your labors were blessed.

The music made them beautiful - I like that idea, keys in with water crsyals being played harmonious music grew more symmetric. so has figurative and material meaning and truth. nice.
