Silence Poem by Curry Bascue

Silence

Rating: 5.0

Ever stood in the silence before?
It’s a peaceful surrounding,
To hear nothing but yourself thinking.
I don’t think of it as a paradise at times,
Sometimes it’s a torture chamber as I wait to hear from you.
All I want to hear is one word from your lips to tell me your okay,
To tell me we’re okay.
Yet I can’t hear anything even in the silence.
I hear the wind, and I imagine it carrying voices of you to me,
But I don’t remember your voice…
Say a word to me,
Let me remember just once!
I can’t see you or hear you,
Yet I like to imagine your right by me.
In the silence…

Incredibly well. Very strong sentiments. Great imagery. Fine poetics. I rated it 10/10. Kindly read and rate my poem 'A dream of judgement day' on page 1.
