Silent Love Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Silent Love

There is no mountain climbed above the clouds to reach the sky
That parallels the blue, so ever pure within thine eyes
Thy angel hair moves slowly like a mesmerizing stream
My lady fair with pink rose lips, I dare to dream

From what source of magic does time stand still once I see your face
Entrancing beauty that embraces my thoughts whence desire waits
In truth my worthiness will never equal thy precious charm
A princess dream I wish adorned upon my arm

The way you move is like a flawless rhythm on an open stage
With silken skin that enhances the beauty of a lovely face
My heart is longing to be much more than I truly am
Still, I know the boundary of this common man

In mind, I daydream about you as my lovely wife
Our bedroom talk just before a final kiss Goodnight
I named our children in a future I will never have
Therein, I can dream and hold you dearly
Within my head

When I pass my dreamlike life there will be only one stone
A grave that holds a secret love only I shall know
I'm sure my story will be told in the last goodbye
But please don't mourn
I lived a very
Happy life
