Silent Whispers Poem by Stan Rodriguez

Silent Whispers

Silent whispers call to mind
caring eyes that spoke
of an eternal love.

Was it yesterday
or a million memories ago
that they sparkled—speaking softly
in the thunderous call of an embrace?

Silent whispers still excite me
in the middle of the springtime
or the whiteness of the snow
come Christmas Eve.
