Silhouetted Against Thy Love: 02 Poem by Subhas Chandra Chakra

Silhouetted Against Thy Love: 02

Silhouetted against thy love,
I am but a shadow of desire,
Longing for your touch, your kiss,
To set my soul alight with fire.

In the darkness, I reach out,
Grasping at the empty air,
Hoping to feel your warm embrace,
To banish all my doubt and fear.

But you are distant, out of reach,
A vision that I cannot grasp,
And I am left to wander lost,
With only memories of the past.

Yet still I yearn for you, my love,
A flame that never will expire,
Silhouetted against thy love,
I am but a shadow of desire.
