Silver Blade Poem by Carrie Salazar

Silver Blade

Rating: 5.0

She slams and locks her door.
She blares her music.
She starts crying.

She screams “why doesn’t she love me”
She is hurting and confused.
All she wanted is to hear her mom say I love you.

Am I that bad to never be loved?
Did I do something so wrong?
She questions herself.

She reaches under her bed.
Grabs the silver blade.
I deserve this.
She cries scarlet tears.

Blood pours from her arms and thighs
She thinks am I ever going to be good enough?
Am i ever going to be good enough for her?

how many scars must we bear, before we see that someone cares how much heartache must we go through, before someone says 'i love you'. i pray that this is just a poem and not a reality. but the write is very good, and you show what people can go through. GR8T A TEN
