Simple As That Poem by Jeremy Willson

Simple As That

We held hands in the auditorium
Listening to the Foo Fighter's first album
We laughed at improv from the theatre kids
While you laid on top of my ribs
I'd pet your hair, and you'd kiss my hand
So I truly did understand
You loved me but life is tough
You needed more than silly songs, it wasn't enough.
