That is how birthday is remembered
Congratulation pours from family members
Person may look back and evaluate
Open up freely for past memories to relate

Yes one year is reduced from age
It is rush towards freedom from cage
Person takes long breath and manages
Prays god for good health with high wages

Desire list extends further
He wants more and more
No end or let up in future plans
With everybody is the same stance

Yes but it is good to have once in a year
Some good music is heard in ears
Relatives flock in to extend good wishes
Avail good gathering along with sweet dishes

Especially children have a hay day
Grandpa may have good clothes anyway
They would love to hold stick and dance
It is really beautiful day with chance

It is customary to celebrate
Very long path to remember and relate
Many good friends are parted
Many more await to be departed

It is cycle that repeats
But on that count, you enjoy and greet
People are same but enjoy gathering
It is festive occasion with offerings
