Simple Man Leading A Simple Life Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Simple Man Leading A Simple Life

A man walks the earth,
his shadow stretching behind him,
its steps unhurried,
hij heart unburdened by the chase.

He wakes with the sun,
its light neither too bright nor dim,
just enough to see the path before him.
The fields are his canvas,
the soil, his script.

He speaks little,
but his silence carries weight-
a wisdom born not of books,
but of watching clouds drift,
leaves fall,
seasons pass.

His joys are small,
a warm meal,
the laughter of a child,
the smell of rain on dry earth.
Not riches, not fame,
just enough to carry him
from one day to the next.

And when the night comes,
he does not fear the dark.
He closes his eyes
as one who knows
he has lived.
