Simple Things Poem by Frankie Kamara

Simple Things

Rating: 4.7

Where has the time flown to
When time indeed flies
When the sun circles the day
Fading into the night
Where the hopes of a beautiful moment
Become reality in the park
Where people gather and socialise
‘Til light becomes dark
When ones desire was bliss
In the presence of such things
Instead of now a change in state
To help you spread your wings
For flying without such aid
Is deep beauty indeed
If this is so, we are blind
In seeing it how we perceive
The simplest of things bestowed upon us
Thrown aside and left for dead
When all is lost and our lives stripped bare
Simple is all we have left
How it was made is now not how it is
In the ways I have now seen
Simple is nowhere to be found
Or atleast, not what it used to be

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
At home thinking deeply how things changed in the last couple years I never got the experience the simple things and now it feels everyone has moved on and left me behind in the state of mind where I still feel incomplete
