Since When Color Really, Really Matters Poem by Hebert Logerie

Since When Color Really, Really Matters

Be real and serious! Be fair to yourself and to others
Since when color really, really freaking matters
All men and women are created the same and equal
Ill-conceived men and women are into created an evil
Society of hierarchy and are into dividing us for the worst
Not for the best. Everybody deserves the very best
And equal chances or fair opportunities. Men and women
Are essentially the same, there is one tiny comma or dash
That separates male and female. There is no need to clash
Over nonsense or stupidity. We're born; we breathe, drink and eat
And rhyme with it. We're essentially the same. No different a bit
We're all blessed and lucky to be alive, to help and to love
Our fellow brothers and sisters. We're always searching above
And beyond for something, while we're neglecting the masterpiece
In front of us. Let's strive for better understanding, love and peace
We have too much to lose. Let's eradicate racism, ignorance and bigotry
Let's make the world safer and a better place for all humanity
Regardless of the skin color. We're born under the same stars and sky
And under the same mystery, we will eventually weep, cry and die
Since when color really, really freaking matters
Be just and serious! Be fair to yourself and to others.
