Since You Left Poem by Adams King

Since You Left

My heart is filled with cobwebs
Never visited since you went
anyway I left my feeling unkept

Strangers came in and left
Some with twisted tongue
To steal from me more smiles

Since you left it has not been better
I still hold the same broken heart
Attending to no lovers voice

Some helpful hand offered healing
But I rather dance with the devil
A familiar devil than an angel unknown

I will rather sip from your cup of wine
And die by the poison you give
Than be gone with another's hand

This man has been addicted to you
I painted your image in the sky of blue
And wrote your name on stars

Every step I take reminds me of you
I glued your memories to my heart
I remember you on every beat it makes

Your name still echoes in my heart
I never cease to cry since you left
I have cried and ocean from my eyes

Since you left I have been lonely
Other lovers can't dispel my loneliness
It burns in my broken heart

Since you left my love
I struggled but couldn't let go
I fought but my pains defeated me

If today I would wish for anything
I would wish to hold you in my arms
And confess the way I feel for you
