<≪≪ Single Civil Code Poem by Abdul Wahab

<≪≪ Single Civil Code

Rating: 5.0

In south
In a kingdom of a pea-hearted king
Maternal uncle is the most eligible bachelor
To be married of with a nice
Whereas in north
Daughters are brutally killed to save honor of their family
When they elope and marry a man
A distant member of their clan

This chicken-headed king still hopes
To come up with a bill
And pass it in the parliament with consensus
So he turns the pages of Holy books
Alas! Here he sees a woman at a time
Takes pleasure from four husbands
And Gods have thousands of children
From thousands of wives
Perplexed and being confused a bit
In haste he turns to west
But unfortunately there too
He finds not a single word
Marriage is not mention in their holy book.

This megalomaniac king still
Wasting time in spreading venom
And spilling blood threatening to kill
The diversity of life of his citizens
In the name of single civil code
But he forgets the power of ordinary men
When they revolt so many powerful kings
Ran to hide in a hole like a frightened rat

It's very sad that so many old and archaic rites are still being practised in today's times. It truly saddens and sickens my soul.
