Sisters Poem by Randy McClave

Laney and Kyree were both in tears
But, not because of worries or fears,
But, because what a person had said to them
And it was not spoken from a whim.
A man who had children of his own
Mocked the girls who are now full grown,
What he had said and spoke was to hurt their feelings
That of course was his dealings.
He said the two girl's weren't really sisters
Because, their fathers were different misters,
The same mother of course they do share
And they are always in each others prayer.
He said that they weren't really truly related
He said it as if he wanted each to be hated,
And he said they weren't really each others kin
Because, their fathers were different men.
Those girls were both raised together
They were two hens sharing the same feather,
Truly their fathers weren't the same man
But, they are still part of the same clan.
What he said and believed may all ignore
He wanted them to think as a family no more,
He said this just to incite and bother
Because, his children have the same mother and father.
Sisters are more than just shared blood
Sisters share the very same love,
Whether they share one parent or even both
Sisters, are always sisters to the oath.
