Sitting In The Sea Poem by Phil Soar

Sitting In The Sea

We sat and let the waves sweep over sandy feet
My children sat beside me, in the sea
Waiting for the tide to rise above us
And then to watch it beat a cool retreat

No land in sight, just miles and miles of ocean
Our eyes catch glimpses of a frothy mass
That salty water sets the tides in motion
And leaves a little chill up to our ass
