You could feed the worlds poor,
or fight the cancer war
Slap the iron rule of tyrants
And give the back hand to fascists
Or give a hand to migrants
Be a saint and give food baskets



for 6 million dollars
you can do more...


Instead you buy a guitar
From a burned-out star

It just goes to show

That a suicidal junkie's death
Has more weight in public worth
Then a million caged immigrants
Dying for a better life
Or an entire village of children
Starving for a crumb of bread
Or even a single black man
Whose only crime was that he breathed

Maybe they would have been more lucky
if they were born as $ 6 million dollar guitar


Perhaps I just lack perspective
On what makes a good investment
For the capital of famous name
Is worth more then humanities stock

For compassion's a poor commodity
And morality just an oddity

Is human life a wasted Expense
Maybe I just can't see the cents

For spending Six Million dollars for a guitar?

Guess I'm just not human enough


Oh well
