Sixty Seconds Of Silence! Poem by Denis Martindale

Our sixty seconds of silence are tributes one by one,
To pause and grant remembrance for what had to be done.
To meditate on times of hate, that's such a grievous task,
This sombre state, upon this date, is that too hard to ask?
I only know that poppies show a token of our love,
Perhaps recalling some we know who pray with God above.
For such as these who brought us peace, we pray upon this day,
That precious peace may yet increase. Amen, Lord, help us pray!
