Skating Poem by Holly Jamestone

Skating

Dusting off snowflakes
The wind at my back
Crystalline neckline
From winter's attack

Milky horizon
Graced by the clouds
Skaters' blades clinking
Amid sweatered crowds

Cracks in the ice
Superficial it seems
Gliding and floating
Through midwinter dreams

Dusting off snowflakes
The wind in my face
The shimmering diamonds
Of snow on my lace

Fading horizon
Clouds now in flight
Skaters dispersing
Bidding goodnight
