Sky's Night Lights Poem by Alix Mangerian

Sky's Night Lights

Rating: 5.0

It would be like the stars
to hide tonight,
cloudy shroudings veiling
their pure light.

I'd shift the heavens
if you asked me to,
so every star could
glow and shine for you.

Now there's a breeze blowing
those clouds from sight.
Beside the water the darkness
guards our plight.

But morning breaks and shatters
silent dreams.
My hands left filled with
imagined memories.

Sky's night lights extinguished
by the sea,
for even stars won't burn
eternally.
