Auto Correct Poem by Alix Mangerian

Auto Correct

Rating: 5.0

All the things I meant to say
Disarrayed by interpretation

Disgruntled machine
Making amends
To fractured lines

Fixing my apostrophes
Adjusting my syntax
And in general making a mess
Of my messages

I blame myself
For letting it happen
Instead of taking a stand
And refusing to be corrected
By another's expectations

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Depth be damned! Sometimes you just have to express a feeling, no matter how trivial it may be.

This is great! I can appreciate this poem on event the shallowest of levels. I hate autocorrect...or it just makes me laugh because it really can truly make a mess of things. Also, not expressing oneself by placing layers of 'correction' on a communication on a message can really screw things up too. Sometimes, we just need to express ourselves in a raw authentic way. Well done.

At last! Someone who understands the frustration of unintentional editing, lol! Thanks for the response.
