Sledge Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Sledge

Sledge

Was midnight and I out
-saw a dog and thought of
-Jack London and his time
-of "White Fang", "Call of Wild"

Owner had skateboard
-tied to dog as the leash
-and its end in his hand

Dog ran and looked joyous
-like horse that carries cart…

Inuit must have known
-what was best for the dogs
-as did the makers of the sledge
