Sleep Poem by Patricia Grantham

Rating: 4.9

When the things of this world seems hard to bear
Remember there is a God who really cares
He watches over us as we lie down to sleep
He knows our every thoughts no matter how deep

The blessings of sleep can only come from above
As sweet as the sounds of the lovely morning dove
If you find yourself unable to sleep at night
Thinking of nothing but fear and fright

Looking in the corners of a dimly lit room
Thoughts and ideas appears as gloom, gloom, gloom
When the events of the day seems a bit too much
A good nights sleep has its own special touch

You got up and paced the floor all night long
Then read a book, watch TV or even sang a song
When you have tried everything, just begin to pray
Thats when He will lead you to the break of day

Sleep is a balm to tired minds! A night without sleep will be dreadful! Prayer helps one slip slowly into the arms of Sleep! Enjoyed this free flowing and rhyming poem Pat!

Sleep is a bliss that comes as a special gift from God, a state of 'spiritual blessedness'. I liked your poem, you have so eloquently described the wretchedness of the ones who cannot sleep at night, and the blessedness of those who can. Fortunately enough, I fall in the latter group. I liked the comment of Mr. Tirupathi Chandrupatla too. Rated this wonderful poem with full marks,10/10!

Benefits of sleep are many. Blessed are those who can take nap in a flash in this noisy world. Nice thoughts.
