Sleep Poem by Holly Somer

Sleep

The sun has gone down, the moon is now out.
Be quiet now don't make a sound,
Your family and friends are trying to sleep.
As the frogs ribbet and the crickets squeak I jump into bed.
Close my eyes and begin to count sheep.
Soon I awaken to having a nightmare that makes me yern,
Freaking me out till I get a burn.
Will you give me a shot?
How about a pill,
As long as it puts me to sleep I will take it.
Give it to me doctor.
I ask you in a hurry,
The demons are comming for me.
Give me the pill now and I'll be as happy as I can be,
To be able to rest once more and catch up on my z's
