Smiles are all that I have gained,
With my heart able to handle the pain;
My efforts to stay happy in life,
Didn't go in vain,
Just because I prayed and endured the pain;
I do have bitter feelings that pain,
Within me but I don't complain;
My patience and prayers,
Cause my wounds to heal;
When stuck in a worse situation,
It is for the better I understand;
So I don't give in to frustration;
Lord, all thanks be to You!
You get me out of heart-wrenching situation,
When no one is there to salvate me;
Each moment Your help comes to me!
What's depression, I don't know;
It is just your strong push,
That gets me out of the hell of pain;
And finally in my life,
Peace comes to prevail;
An angel named Hope-in-divine-mercy,
Comes, at Lord's bidding, to my rescue,
So I dont seek protection from anyone,
Other than God;
Every night, I pray in silent voice,
Remembering my Lord, my real protector;
Putting my head on the soil,
I whisper to my Lord, from inside:
Subhaana Rabbiyal Aalaa!
Outside I am smiling,
And in every situation, I say:
Alhamdulillah!
