Smiling Poem Poem by Hans Ostrom

Smiling Poem

some smiles are so thin
they're barely a grin

some so wide,
you can look inside

some seem rather wry
as if to hide their why

there are smiles you can't find
they're back there in the mind

yes, shy smiles do appeal
whereas a sly one makes a deal

then there is the awkward one
which may see camera as gun

when asked to spread on cue
a smile can turn to goo

a baby's smile has that knack
to go get a smile right back
