Snoring My Life Away Poem by Randy McClave

Snoring My Life Away

About me the bombs were exploding
Onto dear life I was still holding,
Everywhere to where that I went
An explosive bomb was intentionally sent,
Then they came louder and more repetitive
I screamed why am I not allowed to live,
Then right in in front of me a bomb did explode
The Earth about it then began to erode,
I wondered again as I began to run
"What have I said or done"!
The bombs then became extremely louder
Then strangely I smelled toothpaste and powder,
Finally I awoke to reality from a nightmare
Onto the ceiling I then thought as I did stare,
I wasn't in or experiencing a world war
My partner beside me had again began to snore.
