Snow Day - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Snow Day - Lincoln Park Zoo

At last a winter day to be
Outside at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Up enough went the temp degree,
My keepers said, 'A treat for you! '
African rhino and too cold
Can't be together for too long.
I am still less than a year old,
Putting on pounds to make me strong.
Out I go - what's all that white stuff?
I try to eat it, but no taste.
Chilly, playable in a fluff,
Some of the most fun that I've faced.

Rhinos or humans - doncha know -
Can't keep a kid out of the snow.
