Snowbound Gayle. Poem by Fay Slimm

Snowbound Gayle.

Rating: 5.0

Feather-light flakes of now what seem weighty
White have all day fallen outside your door.
Unable to walk, is everyone skating
While facing challenges not known before?

With temperature freezing below degrees
Gayle uses guile, brews something called 'toddy'
To those who bring shovel and aim to please
She ladles it hot, then to one and all
Shouting 'More please' with snow up to knees
They work to clear up before the big freeze.

Some merrily say now they like the snow.
'Cos for hot warm up they know where to go! !

An imaginitive ditty for friend Gayle.....

Very Nicely done, young lass! And for a fellow New Yorker, i am ever more pleased to see this! Gayle, like yourself, is class-act personified...and most worthy of this dedicational! It's frigid where i am....4 degrees as of 6am sat. morn..Fay is a good hour north of me, in middle-upstate New York, where i hear-tell the temps there are 0 zero to -10....Which reminds me...A +10 from FjR 4 FAY!
