The cat looked at me
with eyes lightning like fantasy
it cuddled up onto me
ran away at sway
so fragile such unaccountability
but still it made many a day
and if you wonder why the cat‘s too fat
and can not jump into the tree
where the little Robin sings happily
where the crow is yapping angrily
from flashbacks of her memory
Nice, Nice, Very Nice, Vonnegut
springs to my mind
and what the heck do I find
the cat, fat and almost half blind
tangling from between its teeth
the wiggling tail of a very tiny
of the last of mice, ...nice, nice, very nice! M
