So Hard To Say Goodbye Poem by Kwai Chee Low

So Hard To Say Goodbye

Rating: 5.0

Memories, deep as the open sea,
sweet as the first kiss,
dark as the blackest night.
They follow like a shadow.

We have sat through many a sunset,
its warm glow coloring your cheeks.
Through thunderstorms too, just to watch
rainbows that come after.

We have sat through starry nights,
your head gently nestled in my arms,
the constellation in your eyes,
the moon gleam on your hair.

The sound of waves relentlessly
beating against the shore.
Your slowing heartbeat, your laboring breath.
A last whisper 'It is time…to go…'

Why is it so hard to say goodbye…

A very beautiful love poem. The moon gleam on your hair.... So soft, like his tender heart.

Thank you, Anil. Yes, it is a rather dark, emotional piece.
