Social Butterfly Poem by Brian Hinckley

Social Butterfly

Always watching,
I conceal a smile.
You drift around,
a butterfly in a garden.

Your wings brush my lips
granting me your kiss.
Of all the flowers here,
you have chosen me.

Flowery images
fade from view.
My arms slide around you,
cocooned in the moment.

You melt into me
equally as lost.
Tonight we are one,
tomorrow who knows.

As the sun bursts,
beckoning in a new day,
I continue to watch;
I continue to smile.

'Coccooned in the moment' is a very nice line.
