Society Poem by Cece Winters

The queen once told her 9 year old
child that she was getting fat.
She is the reason why people
feel inadequate.
Some people grow out of this,
and some never do.
People begin to tell the princess that
she looks good.
Why would people do this?
When you are getting thinner - not fitter.
The princess grew to block out,
most of what society and the queen told her.
She was lucky for the most part, unlike some
who do not have the strength.
